Kyle Turris had five shots and an assist in Ottawa's 2-1 win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.

He registered his fifth assist and ninth point of the playoffs to help the Senators avoid elimination at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Turris and Erik Karlsson had assists on a power-play goal by Bobby Ryan in the second period. The marker ended Ottawa's 0-for-29 drought during a two-man advantage.

Fredrik Claesson earned his third assist of the postseason on Tuesday night.

He dropped the puck to Mike Hoffman, who wired a hard shot into the post behind Pittsburgh's Matt Murray and into the net for the game-winning goal in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final. Claesson made a good play on the marker by driving towards the goal. Clarke MacArthur had the other assist on Hoffman's winner to force Game 7 on Thursday night.

Colin White made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut on Tuesday night in Game 6 against Pittsburgh.

Unfortunately, he logged just 2:39 of ice time on seven shifts. He wasn't much of a factor in the contest, but he did almost score into his own net during his second shift. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Senators chose to go with some more experience in Game 7 on Thursday night.

Bobby Ryan recorded his sixth goal of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs in Game 6 against Pittsburgh.

Ryan had a great start to the playoffs against Boston, slowed down versus the Rangers and now he has heated up again in the Eastern Conference Final. He has produced two goals and four assists in six matches opposing the Penguins. Ryan ended Ottawa's 0-for-29 drought on the power play when the Senators were given a two-man advantage in the second period on Tuesday night.

Craig Anderson was outstanding in Ottawa's 2-1 win over Pittsburgh in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

What a response from Anderson, after he allowed four goals on 14 shots in Game 5. Anderson left the Penguins frustrated all night, as he turned aside 45 of the 46 shots Pittsburgh sent his way. Pens forward Evgeni Malkin opened the scoring in the second period, but Ottawa responded with two goals from Bobby Ryan and Mike Hoffman to get the win. Anderson now owns a 11-7 record with a 2.36 goals-against-average and a .922 save percentage this postseason. The best-of-seven series is now tied up at three. Game 7 will be played in Pittsburgh on Thursday night. The winner of that game will take on Nashville in the Stanley Cup Final.

Mike Hoffman scored the game-winning goal in Ottawa's 2-1 win over Pittsburgh in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final on Tuesday.

The Penguins scored the first goal of the game, but Ottawa responded by goals by Bobby Ryan (second period) and Hoffman (early in the third frame). Hoffman's goal came on a blast from the faceoff circle. The Sens forward finished the game with two penalty minutes, two shots on goal and five hits in 16:20 of ice time. Hoffman has two goals and four points in his last four contests. He's up to five goals and five assists in 17 games this postseason. The best-of-seven series is now tied up at three. Game 7 will be played in Pittsburgh on Thursday night. The winner off that one will play Nashville in the Stanley Cup Final.

Chris Kelly will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Both Kelly and Colin White took the pre-game warmup, but head coach Guy Boucher decided to go with White. Jyrki Jokipakka, Chris Neil, Chris DiDomenico and Ben Harpur will also watch the game from the press box.

Erik Karlsson doesn't feel that his play has been limited because of an injury.

He didn't play for the final 25:55 of Game 5 against the Penguins, but said he didn't re-aggravate his foot injury. Karlsson admitted that he played through two hairline fractures in his left heel during Round 1. It's believed that he hasn't fully recovered from that issue. Karlsson, who has contributed just two assists in five games against the Penguins, will need to be at his best if the Senators want to avoid elimination on Tuesday night in Game 6.

Ben Harpur could be in the lineup again for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

Ottawa may decide to go with seven blueliners because Erik Karlsson and Cody Ceci are playing hurt. Karlsson and Ceci didn't finish Sunday's contest, so another defenseman in the lineup would serve as some insurance. Coach Guy Boucher is deciding between playing Harpur, Colin White or Chris Kelly.

Mark Borowiecki (lower body) won't play Tuesday in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

Borowiecki has been sidelined since Apr. 15 with a lower-body injury. Ottawa may dress seven defenders on Tuesday night versus Pittsburgh.
Tue, May 23, 2017 12:47:00 PM

Alex Burrows has been ruled out for Game 6 versus Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.

He wasn't expected to be ready to play and that has been confirmed by coach Guy Boucher. Mark Borowiecki (lower body) won't be available to play either on Tuesday night.

Chris Kelly or Colin White might be in the lineup on Tuesday night for Game 6 against Pittsburgh.

Coach Guy Boucher has considered using White before and that may be where he lands after the pregame warmup. Kelly hasn't played since Apr. 21 against Boston back in Round 1 of the playoffs. The Senators may also decide to go with seven defensemen on Tuesday night.
Tue, May 23, 2017 12:41:00 PM

Ryan Dzingel will get back in the lineup on Tuesday night.

He was scratched for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final versus Pittsburgh. Coach Guy Boucher said that Tommy Wingels will be in the press box instead on Tuesday. Dzingel has one goal and one assist in 11 playoff appearances this year.
Tue, May 23, 2017 12:37:00 PM

Coach Guy Boucher wants to see a better effort from his skaters in front of goalie Craig Anderson in Game 6 on Tuesday night.

"The first three games, he was outstanding," Boucher said. "The last two games, I don't think we've played well enough in front of him to be able to win the game. (Sunday), I took him out just to stall the game and then put him back in, but it was one of those games. It wasn't going to happen, so I took him out of there." Boucher also praised Anderson for his play all year and added "he's been able to close two series solid, and that's why he's our No. 1." He allowed four goals on just 14 shots in Game 5 in 18:32 of action, so he will have to be much better himself in order to force Game 7.
