General manager Vlade Divac is in Turkey to see Bogdan Bogdanovic play for Fenerbahce.

Bogdanovic has his team in the Euroleague final to face Olympiacos on Sunday. With talk of the Kings wanting him to join them next year, he has been solid in his 21 games, averaging 14.5 points, 3.8 boards, 3.8 assists and 1.1 steals while also trending up. It's still unclear if Bogdanovic is going to come over next year and he's made it clear he won't talk about it until this season is over. It looks like Divac isn't going to waste any time to bring him over.

Coach Dave Joerger said "slow and steady" is the Kings' approach in the trade market, draft and free agency right now.

He was asked about the offseason plans and mentioned the Kings have to focus more on their No. 5 pick in the draft. The Kings also will have to convey a top-10 protected pick to the 76ers next year or else it will be an unprotected pick in 2019. For now, it looks like the younger Kings will be the focal points next year.

When asked if he's going to join the Kings for the 2017-18 season, Bogdan Bogdanovic said he's not ready to discuss that yet.

"I don’t like to talk about that during the season," he said. "I have my goals here." He recently signed another one-year deal to stick with Fenerbahce, but he does have a buyout in excess of $1 million. "My interest is not only money," he said. "I want to prove that I can play in the NBA. I don’t want to go there to sit on a bench." Bogdanovic is one of the best players in Europe and the Kings are rebuilding, so he'd likely be looking at a significant role if he decides to come to the states this summer. Kentucky guard De'Aaron Fox said the Kings are looking for a point guard of the future in the draft.

This obviously isn't surprising news. The Kings have swung and missed on guards in the draft perhaps more than anyone since the David Kahn days in Minnesota. Fox dominated fellow lottery pick Lonzo Ball during the year, and Fox is probably isn't going to make it to the Kings given their No. 8 spot in the lottery and having a potential pick swap going to Philly.

Rudy Gay (Achilles) plans to opt out of his contract in order to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, according to his agent Roger Montgomery.

Gay is still in recovery from his ruptured left Achilles tendon, but he's reportedly "ahead of schedule" as he's been medically cleared to begin weightlifting, and he's hopeful to get back to the court by mid-June. Gay could have opted in for $14.3 million, so it's pretty surprising to see him willing to forgo that guaranteed salary in order to test the market, considering he's coming off a very serious injury. His willingness to potentially leave money on the table is a pretty good indication that he hasn't exactly been thrilled with his experience in Sacramento thus far.

Sim Bhullar has signed a deal with Guangxi in the Chinese NBL.

The 7'5" center spent the 2016-17 season in Taiwan and averaged 19.7 points, 15.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. He's only 24 years old, but his conditioning has a long way to go if he hopes to make it back to the NBA.

The Kings are hiring Scott Perry to a high-ranking front office job, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

He will be an executive VP and work closely with general manager Vlade Divac. Perry was an assistant GM with the Magic and it sounds like he'll do most of the leg work on the GM duties, but Divac will have the final say. It would appear the Kings aren't going after Sam Hinkie after all.

Kings GM Vlade Divac said he would like to have Rudy Gay back with the Kings next season.

"[Gay's] personality, when we talk about who’s going to fit on this team, he’s exactly what we’re looking for," Divac said. Gay, who ruptured his Achilles’ tendon on Jan. 18, has a $14.3 million player option for the 2017-18 season. Although it's a devastating injury, Wesley Matthews was able to secure a four-year, $70 million contract from the Mavs coming off a similar injury in 2015 and plenty of teams will have cap space this summer. Thus, Gay will have an interesting decision to make this offseason.

Coach Dave Joerger said he "absolutely" wants Ben McLemore on the Kings next season.

What the Kings say and what they do are two different things, but McLemore did improve later in the season. After the break, McLemore averaged 11.5 points per game on a 56.7 true shooting percentage and he was able to get fairly consistent minutes. The Kings probably won't be drafting a shooting guard for the umpteenth time, but Buddy Hield is obviously ahead of B-Mac for now.

Willie Cauley-Stein scored 19 points with 14 rebounds, six assists, one block and two turnovers against the Clippers on Wednesday.

That's a strong finish for Trill, averaging 14.8 points, 10.2 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.0 blocks, 1.0 steals and 0.8 turnovers in his final five games. Cauley-Stein should be viewed as the main man up front for now and the Kings will likely be drafting a point guard.

Arron Afflalo scored 18 points with two rebounds, six assists and no turnovers in 34 minutes against the Clippers on Wednesday.

With his contract not guaranteed for next year, the Kings may not be bringing Afflalo back. He's still just 31 years old and showed he can still play, despite how his mid-range style isn't exactly en vogue these days.

Langston Galloway is starting against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Thankfully, this will be the last time we have to wait until tip for a Kings lineup.
Wed, Apr 12, 2017 10:47:00 PM

Tyreke Evans (toe) will not play on Wednesday against the Clippers.

He wasn't on the injury report earlier, but this is probably the least surprising news of the day. Expect Arron Afflalo to back up Langston Galloway against Chris Paul. That seems like a fair fight, right?

Tyreke Evans is not on the injury report for Wednesday against the Clippers.

The Kings are razor thin, but who knows what they're going to do with Evans? If he does suit up, he has a high floor with Langston Galloway as the only other ball handler out there -- Arron Afflalo has played some point, as well.

Arron Afflalo is not on the injury report for Wednesday against the Clippers.

Who even knows what the Kings are doing anymore? Afflalo should be getting minutes, but it's very tough to trust him in fantasy with the late start tonight.
