When asked about a possible contract extension for Jabari Parker, Bucks GM John Hammond said he wants the forward to remain in Milwaukee for the long term.

"That's the goal," Hammond said. "That always has been the goal. We have discussions, maybe they come from different directions right now as far as what we can do with him. We want Jabari here and he wants to be here." If the Bucks and Parker can't come to an agreement, Parker will become a restricted free agent in the summer of 2018. Parker's rehab from knee surgery is going "amazing" according to Hammond and the medical staff believes he's on pace for a return around the All-Star break in 2017-18.

Tony Snell - G/F - Bucks

Milwaukee general manager John Hammond said Thursday that the Bucks are hoping to retain restricted free agent Tony Snell.

Snell started 80 games for Milwaukee this past season and averaged career-highs in points (8.5), 3-pointers (1.8), assists (1.2) and steals (0.7). "He's an outstanding guy and a guy we want to have as part of our team moving forward," Hammond said of Snell. "He's about the right things. I think Tony wants to be here. We're hoping to bring him back. We're planning on him being with us next season."

General manager John Hammond said Jabari Parker (knee) is progressing well and suggested the All-Star break as the earliest potential return time.

Last month, Parker said he was hoping to play in 40-50 games in the 2017-18 season. Parker suffered the ACL tear on Feb. 8 and had the surgery on Feb. 14, so it sounds like he's shooting for a 12-month rehab. Considering this is his second ACL tear, the Bucks will likely be careful with their 22-year-old forward.

General manager John Hammond said he has not talked to Greg Monroe about his player option.

The deadline for Monroe to decide will be on NBA Draft night on June 22. Monroe is 26 years old and his player option is worth $17.9 million, but he may opt to hit the market with the increase coming to the salary cap.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points in a season-ending 92-89 loss to the Raptors on Thursday, adding nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks, one 3-pointer and three turnovers in 47 minutes.

He was extremely aggressive early in this game, going 5-of-5 from the field with all of those shots coming in the paint. The Bucks offense was not very successful outside of the Giannis drives in the first half, making just 3-of-17 outside of the paint in the first 24 minutes. Antetokounmpo also only checked out with 6:26 left in the second, sat out for 81 seconds, and played the rest of the game. He reached superstardom this season and he'll be in the mix for the No. 1 pick in drafts next year. He's still just 22, so he could get even better. Let your imagination run wild with how good he could be.

Khris Middleton scored 19 points with four rebounds, two steals and three 3-pointers in 42 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday.

He had another slow start in this game and was part of the reason why the Bucks were in a hole at half. After making his season debut on Feb. 8 for a torn hamstring, Middleton was able to get to 33.0 minutes per game in March and didn't miss any of those 18 games in that span. He was also handling the ball much more than expected despite some talk of him being more of a shooter. Things are certainly looking up for Middleton as he heads into his age-26 season. He'll be an early-round pick in drafts next season.

Thon Maker blocked a career-high five shots against the Raptors on Thursday, adding two points, two rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in 13 minutes.

The rim protection has been the story for Maker, who had 1.8 blocks per game in his previous five postseason outings. Considering he was one of the most raw players to be taken in the lottery in quite some time, the Bucks have to be pleased with his development. He had a couple eye-opening games at Summer League last year, so maybe he'll be back there again. Maker will be on the radar in the last couple rounds next season.

Jason Terry scored eight points with four rebounds, one block, one steal and two 3-pointers in 18 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday.

The JET almost saved the day with eight points in the final eight minutes of this game. He had some bright spots throughout the year and somewhat surprisingly logged 1,365 minutes during the regular season. Terry is going to turn 40 in September and there's a good chance his career is over. The 2009 Sixth Man of the Year had several years with strong fantasy value.

Malcolm Brogdon scored six points with two rebounds, one assist, two steals and one turnover in just 23 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday.

The rookie didn't make a major impact on the offensive side in four of the six games as the Bucks just leaned more on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton to run the offense. Brogdon is better off the ball and he made his money on catch-and-shoot attempts, so he's a great fit next to those guys. He should be looking at a role with minutes in the low 30s, but he won't be producing much offense, especially when Jabari Parker (knee) can make it back.

Khris Middleton (illness) will start in Game 6 against the Raptors.

He is feeling better and was able to play through his illness from Game 5 on Monday. Middleton didn't look right on both ends of the court on Monday, playing 36 minutes with eight points, six assists, five steals and one turnover. He's only made 38.5 percent from the field with 0.8 treys per game in this series, so his offense isn't as good as it was during the regular season. He'll see a lot of Norman Powell and could have a bounce-back game.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: Although he’s had some issues with his shot, he’s been able to improve as a facilitator this postseason. His assist rate is up 5.7% to 23.2% and he leads the team with 5.4 assists per game. He took at least 13 shots in the first four games and dropped 20 points twice. His price has dropped a bit across the industry and if he can put together a complete game as a passer and scorer now that he’s feeling better, he could be a huge asset.

Khris Middleton (illness) did not practice on Wednesday, but Jason Kidd expects him to play in Game 6 against the Raptors on Thursday.

Middleton played through the illness in Game 5 on Monday, but he didn't look quite right going 3-of-8 from the field, so hopefully, with some extra rest he'll be able to get closer to 100 percent for Game 6. Check back for another update following Thursday morning's shootaround.

Khris Middleton (illness) struggled in Game 5 vs. the Raptors with eight points on 3-of-8 shooting.

He didn't seem like himself and wasn't looking for his shot tonight, but he was able to salvage his line with six assists, three rebounds, five steals and one turnover in 36 minutes. To make matters worse, he was torched on the defensive end by Norman Powell. "You got to know how it feels to get your [butt] kicked," coach Jason Kidd said. "And that’s what happened tonight." With their season on the line, the Bucks will look to even the series up in Game 6 on Thursday.

Malcolm Brogdon scored a playoff career-high 19 points in Monday's Game 5 loss to the Raptors.

An obvious Rookie of the Year candidate, Brogdon finally got himself going tonight after averaging 7.3 points on 34.3 percent shooting in the first four games of this series. He logged 33 minutes and shot 7-of-11 from the field, adding three assists, two rebounds, one steal and five 3-pointers. Tony Snell notched nine points on three triples with two assists and Matthew Dellavedova added four points in 21 minutes off the bench.

Giannis Antetokounmpo's 30 points weren't enough in a 118-93 loss to the Raptors in Game 5 on Monday.

He was coming off a 6-of-19 FG performance in Game 4 and got off to a nightmare start in the first quarter by hitting 1-of-6 shots, but he finally got things going in the second quarter when he hit all six of shots. Giannis finished the night 12-of-19 from the field in 41 minutes with nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks, but simply didn't have enough help -- only two of his teammates scored in double digits. The Bucks now trail the Raptors (3-2) for the first time in this series and will look to save their season in Game 6 on Thursday at home.

Khris Middleton (illness) will play in Monday's Game 5 against the Raptors.

Middleton skipped shootaround, but he was never expected to miss tonight's game. Jason Kidd will stick with the same starting group tonight featuring Malcolm Brogdon, Tony Snell, Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Thon Maker.
