Jake Lamb finished 1-for-4 with his 12th home run and a pair of RBI in Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Lamb blasted five homers with 21 RBI in the month of April and he has cracked seven home runs with 17 RBI through 19 games in May. He posted 29 clouts with 91 RBI in 523 at-bats across 151 games last season and he is proving this year that was no fluke. Over the past two seasons Lamb has emerged as an outstanding power source across the board in all fantasy formats.

Chris Herrmann finished 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Herrmann has homered in three consecutive starts, posting four RBI during the span. While Jeff Mathis is superior defensively, Herrmann's bat is coming alive and he is making it hard for skipper Torey Lovullo to keep the backstop on the bench. He remains a No. 2 fantasy option in NL-only leagues with some power upside.

Fernando Rodney worked a perfect ninth inning in Tuesday's game against the White Sox for his 11th save of the season.

Rodney worked a tidy 12-pitch frame for his seventh consecutive clean appearance of May. After a rough April with a 12.60 ERA and two blown saves he appears to have ironed out his issues and is a perfect 5-for-5 on save chances in May.

Patrick Corbin allowed three earned runs while scattering eight hits over six innings in a win Tuesday against the White Sox.

The left-hander walked one and struck out five in the 91-pitch quality start. While he has struggled on the road with a 0-3 record and 7.31 ERA in three outing away from home, he is a respectable 4-1 with a 2.63 ERA through seven home starts. The Diamondbacks are also a perfect 6-0 over his past six assignments.

A.J. Pollock (groin) hit in the cage and ran on an anti-gravity treadmill Tuesday.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo told reporters after the workout that Pollock will not require a minor league rehab assignment, but the center fielder is still probably a week or two away. He's been on the disabled list since May 15 with a Grade 1 right groin strain.

Archie Bradley turned in another scoreless appearance Monday night against the White Sox.

Bradley relieved Diamondbacks starter Zack Greinke with two outs in the top of the ninth inning and induced a groundout from Avisail Garcia to seal Arizona's 5-1 victory. The former top prospect has been excellent in a dynamic relief role for the Diamondbacks this season, with a 1.35 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, and 27/5 K/BB ratio over 13 appearances covering 20 innings.

Zack Greinke held the White Sox to one run over 8 2/3 innings Monday in the Diamondbacks' 5-1 win.

Greinke nearly had a complete game, but manager Torey Lovullo lifted the right-hander after Jose Abreu doubled with two outs in the top of the ninth. Greinke was brilliant, yielding just four hits and striking out 12 batters against just one walk. He's now 6-2 on the year with a 2.82 ERA and he leads all National League pitchers in strikeouts with 78. A road start against the Brewers is next.

Paul Goldschmidt finished 2-for-4 with a home run in the Diamondbacks' defeat of the White Sox on Monday.

Goldschmidt singled and scored on Daniel Descalso's three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning before popping Miguel Gonzalez for a solo shot in the bottom of the sixth. The star first baseman is batting .315/.448/.580 with 11 home runs, 35 RBI, 11 stolen bases, and 38 runs scored in 46 games this season for Arizona.

Daniel Descalso hit a three-run homer in the Diamondbacks' win over the White Sox on Monday.

Descalso opened the game's scoring with his three-run blast off White Sox starter Miguel Gonzalez in the bottom of the fourth inning. He also drew a walk in the victory but is still batting just .194/.333/.388 over 37 games this year. The utilityman carries no fantasy relevance.

A.J. Pollock (groin) has begun doing some light jogging.

Pollock is making some nice progress, but he obviously won't be ready for activation from the disabled list when first eligible on Thursday. The outfielder is working his way back from a Grade 1 right groin strain.
Mon, May 22, 2017 07:07:00 PM

Randall Delgado will start Wednesday versus the White Sox.

He's filling in for Taijuan Walker (blister). All 15 of Delgado's appearances this season have come out of the bullpen, but he's thrown three innings of four occasions, including in his previous outing last Friday. It's unclear whether the D'Backs will need him for more than one start.
Mon, May 22, 2017 07:05:00 PM

Yasmany Tomas is absent from the Diamondbacks' lineup Monday.

It looks to be a routine day off. Brandon Drury is also sitting out, as the D'Backs have Reymond Fuentes in left field and Daniel Descalso at second base.
Mon, May 22, 2017 05:20:00 PM

Chris Iannetta went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Padres.

This was Iannetta's first game in the lineup since being sidelined by a pitch to the face about a week ago. While he sustained a lacerated upper lip, fractured teeth and a broken nose on that hit-by-pitch, he looked no worse for the wear in his return, socking a solo home run off Zack Godley with one out in the third inning during Sunday's contest. Prior to going down injured, the veteran backstop had been hitting .220/.292/.390 with three homers and six RBI over the course of 20 games played.
Sun, May 21, 2017 08:05:00 PM

Jake Lamb went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in Sunday's loss to the Padres.

Lamb was not alone in his struggles on Sunday, as the Diamondbacks finished with just five hits on the afternoon. Only one of those (a Chris Iannetta solo homer) went for extra bases. Sunday's dire results aside, Lamb has been red hot of late, having picked up five multi-hit games in his last 10 contests. He had a stretch earlier this week in which he connected for four home runs in three games.
Sun, May 21, 2017 08:05:00 PM

Zack Godley surrendered three runs on eight hits over seven innings in Sunday's loss to the Padres.

All three runs on Godley's line scored in the fifth inning, but he was otherwise able to keep his team in the ballgame. He struck out one and walked one on the afternoon. Through four starts covering 25 2/3 innings, the 27-year-old right-hander has posted a crisp 2.45 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 20/10 K/BB ratio. He will try to keep up this strong beginning to his season in a road showdown with the Brewers next time he toes the rubber.
