Junior Stanislas has gone under the knife in an attempt to cure his long-standing hernia problem.

The Bournemouth winger finished the season strongly, scoring in his last three appearances, which in return, helped the Cherries to their highest ever Premier League finish. But Stanislas, struggled during the early part of 2017 due to an ongoing groin issue, and he managed just four Premier League starts between the end of January and mid-April. Now the decision has been taken to have surgery in the hope of being fully fit for the start of pre-season. Stanislas was absent from the club’s annual presentation at the BIC on Monday evening, and reports now confirm that the 27-year-old has travelled to Germany for treatment by one of Europe’s leading specialists.

Bournemouth starlet Lewis Cook has received praise from his manager Eddie Howe after some good performances in the final weeks of the season.

Cook appeared five times for the Cherries towards the end of the season before missing the final day clash with Leicester as he is representing the England U-20s at the World Cup in South Korea. Cook arrived to the south coast club ahead of the 2016/17 season in a £7 million deal with Leeds United, and started the first PL game of the campaign before enduring a frustrating season on the periphery. However, Cook's displays since returning to the field off the bench in the GW33 defeat to Spurs have been promising. The highlight was the 20 year old supplying an assist for Junior Stanislas against Burnley. His manager favourably compared the Yorkshire man to Jack Wilshere, citing his comparable creativity, control and pace aided by an aggression similar to that of Harry Arter. Howe added: "Lewis is a very special talent... In a short time in the team, he really has been very productive." It sounds like Cook may be more central to Howe's plans next term.

Harry Arter could miss the final game of the season through injury but teammate Andrew Surman is back in contention after recovering from a knee problem.

Arter has been battling an ongoing Achilles and ankle issue for the past few weeks and suffered another setback against Burnley when he was forced off with a dead leg. While none of his injuries are thought to be serious, Sunday may come too soon for the Republic of Ireland international. Surman on the other hand, is ready, after missing almost eight weeks due to a twisted knee. Eddie Howe confirmed the 30-year-old will be in his thoughts, although he may not be ready to start at Leicester. Lewis Cook is away on international duty [England U20s World Cup] and Bournemouth will be forced into at least one change. Dan Gosling is favourite to come into the side following his recovery from a calf strain and Benik Afobe [hamstring], who "continues to improve," has an outside chance of making the squad. Callum Wilson, Adam Federici and Rhoys Wiggins [all knee] remain long-term absentees.

Joshua King was on the scoresheet once again in a 2-1 Bournemouth win over Burnley on Saturday.

The former Blackburn Rovers forward scored his 10th goal in the last 12 Premier League matches—he's contributed to 12 goals in the last 12—right when Bournemouth needed it most. Just two minutes after Bournemouth conceded an equalizer, King found himself on the end of a Ryan Fraser long ball and sent the match-winner into the back of the net in the 85th minute. The Cherries took the lead in the 25th minute after a brilliant pass from Lewis Cook found Junior Stanislas rummaging down the right wing before he coolly finished past Tom Heaton.

Bournemouth midfielder Emerson Hyndman has returned to the club from his loan at Rangers after suffering a foot injury.

The American has been at Ibrox since January, performing well for the Glasgow in outfit 17 appearances, scoring 4 times and winning the club's Young Player of the Year award. He missed Ranger's game last weekend, and has now returned to the south coast: "Unfortunately I'll be missing the remainder of the season due to injury. I had an incredible time here at Rangers and I am thankful I had the opportunity to represent such a massive club. Thank you to my team-mates, staff and supporters for making my short stay at Ibrox a memorable one."

Junior Stanislas moved quickly to allay any injury fears after the Cherries forward limped off during the latter stages of Saturdays 2-2 draw with Stoke.

The 27-year-old was back in Eddie Howe’s starting XI after the Bournemouth boss confirmed Benik Afobe would be missing for a "few weeks" following the hamstring injury which forced him off at Sunderland last weekend. Stanislas was quick to repay his managers faith with a well taken goal on the hour mark but supporters could’ve been forgiven for fearing the worst when the winger was replaced 10 minutes later with an apparent muscle problem. However, Stanislas has played down concerns by confirming he will be ready for the visit of Burnley: "I'm fine, it's just cramp," he explained. "I've had a few injuries in recent weeks and not played as much football so I think it's one of those ones where I ran quite hard in the first half and it caught up with me towards the end of the game. I'll work hard this week and hopefully it won't happen again."

Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc has triggered a clause in his contract which allowed him to add a year to his deal after a set number of appearances.

Boruc has been the Cherries' first-choice 'keeper this term keeping 8 clean sheets in 32 games. The retired Poland international was Eddie Howe's first permanent signing in June 2015, and was rewarded with a one year contract extension last summer in spite of his increasing years; he's 37. Having reached the quota as per his deal, Boruc has triggered the clause and will now be at the club until at least June 2018. There are now no members of the Bournemouth squad left whose contracts will expire in the summer. Boruc is unlikely to be starting next season, as the Hoe was reportedly looking to replace him with Chelsea's Asmir Begovic in January.

Josh King's 2017 just keeps getting better, adding his 15th goal of the season in dramatic fashion, giving AFC Bournemouth a late winner in a 0-1 win over Sunderland.

King becomes the second Norwegian player to hit the 15 goal plateau in PL history, but more on that in a moment. King was at the center of several chances over the course of the match, notably in the 20th minute, when he sent a clever chip over the keeper before hitting the bar and then off the post. There was also a couple of penalty shouts that he was at the center of, but the referee was not having it. The breakthrough finally came in the 88th minute, when the Cherries were on the break. Ryan Fraser sent a pass low across the box and found King who tapped it in with the same confidence that has led to a dozen league goals in the calendar year. The three points lifts Eddie Howe's side into the top half of the table but there was one sour note, as Benik Afobe appeared to pick up a hamstring injury shortly before the hour mark.

Bournemouth will have to do without Dan Gosling and Andrew Surman for Saturday's visit to the Stadium of Light.

Gosling hobbled off in the Cherries' demolition of 'Boro in GW34 and has not recovered in time for the trip north. Surman was injured in a collision with Fraser Forster earlier in the month in the 0-0 draw with Southampton. He damaged the medial ligaments in his knee but there's hope he'll return before the PL season draws to a close. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Eddie Howe said: "We’re still without Andrew Surman and Dan Gosling doesn’t look like he’s going to make it. Dan was struggling with his calf and was forced off against Middlesbrough. With Andrew, he’s not at the stage where he’s ready to train." Lewis Cook is likely to make his second start of the season in place of Gosling.

Bournemouth were deserved winners at the Vitality Stadium as Middlesbrough offered little resistance in a spineless performance.

Josh King opened the scoring for Cherries just one minute and 36 seconds into the tie. Pugh passed by the hapless Barragan with ease before firing in a cross for his Norwegian striker, who finished from close range. Gaston Ramirez then proceeded to have a disciplinary meltdown. He attempted a dive but failed to deceive the referee, earning himself a caution. He pointlessly fouled Pugh minutes later after Afobe had doubled Bournemouth's lead, earning himself the early bath he seemed to be looking for. De Roon had a good effort for 'Boro before he was hauled off with an injury. In the second half, Bournemouth pushed relentlessly and the visitors acquiesced, with Pugh notching up the third before Daniels scored a fine fourth. 'Boro will be playing in the Championship next season unless a miracle occurs.

Arsenal and Bournemouth have both confirmed that Jack Wilshere will miss the final month of the season with a hairline fracture in his leg.

The idea of sending Wilshere on loan to Bournemouth was to help him get matches and either rebuild his value for a sale or see if he could progress toward being an integral member of the Arsenal first team. For most of the season, Wilshere was moving strongly toward those goals. Given the role of his lengthy injury history in derailing his career at Arsenal leading up to his loan move, this injury may serve to undo much of the good that serving most of the season as an effective starter has done. Will a mid-table club with a limited transfer budget really pony up a significant transfer fee for a player with yet another injury? Could Arsenal justify counting on him as a key cog for next season or signing him to a contract extension given his propensity to be out injured? What happens next with Wilshere was always going to be fascinating but this latest injury just adds an additional layer of complexity what what was already a pretty complex situation.

Bournemouth winger Max Gradel has told BBC Sport that he wants to leave the club.

Gradel's playing time has been severely limited this season, even when fit and also in spite of the fact that the Ivory Coast international signed a new contract less than a year ago. He has not made a single Premier League start this term having been a key player for the Cherries in the previous campaign, appearing just eleven times in all. Gradel believes that he must move to get first team football. His activity on Twitter suggests that he has his sights set on Championship play-off contenders Leeds United, where he scored 25 goals in 85 games in a previous stint between 2009 and 2012.

Bournemouth loanee Jack Wilshere has been ruled out until the end of the season with a broken leg.

The England international was forced off last weekend during his side's class with Chelsea. He underwent scans to assess the extent of the damage, and according to Sky Sports, they revealed that he has a crack in his left fibula, which is part of the bone structure of the calf. The injury resembles the same one which sidelined him for the vast majority of the 2015/16 season. The injury spells the end of his season, which saw him appear 27 times for the Cherries. His career is now at a crossroads and it is unclear where he will be plying his trade when August comes around again.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, currently on loan at Bournemouth, is failing in his bid to resurrect his career at the Vitality Stadium.

Wilshere signed for Eddie Howe's men on a season long loan back in the summer. Initially he proved to be an important fulcrum in the side and avoided injury better than he has done in years. However, he has lacked end product in his time on the south coast, with two assists and no goals to his name. Furthermore, doubts a are forming over whether or not he has a future with Bournemouth. Arsenal will no doubt require a large fee, and questions are being asked about whether Howe wants to keep Wilshere, who frustrated him last weekend by refusing to stay on the pitch after picking up an injury. He walked off, leaving ten teammates battling a rampant Spurs 11. It seems Wilshere is yet to find the formula to bring the accolades promised by his talent when he emerged on the scene.

It was an afternoon AFC Bournemouth would soon like to forget as they were overmatched by Tottenham from start to finish and Jack Wilshere left early with an ankle injury as the Cherries went on to lose, 4-0.

It is hard to imagine any club going into White Hart Lane and getting a positive result these days, but the Cherries showed no signs of even attempting an upset. They only had the ball 30% of the time in the opening half, failing to register a shot on target in the first half, while only hitting the target once in the second, which was saved easily by Hugo Lloris. Junior Stanislas was given a chance in the starting XI but failed to make an impact. The defense, which usually cause the Cherries their problems, had circles run around them, as they allowed the opponent to score three goals or more for the 12th time this season. Four or five points should seal safety for Bournemouth, but they need to play more inspired than they did today.
