The Nuggets are "hopeful" that Juancho Hernangomez will play with the Spanish national team this summer, according to GM Tim Connelly.
Hernangomez played three seasons in Spain's professional league, culminating in 2015-16 averages of 9.7 points, 1.0 threes, 5.7 boards, 0.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks in 23.7 minutes. The 21-year-old is on a rookie-scale contract, with Denver owing him no more than $3.3 million per season through the 2019-20 season, so it makes sense that they'd want to see him develop and compete at a high level. We'll keep a close eye on his progress this offseason. Thu, Apr 27, 2017 12:41:00 AM
