Matt Boyd struggled in a losing effort against the Rangers on Sunday night in Motown, surrendering four runs on 12 hits over 5 1/3 innings.
Boyd struck out three on the night and didn't issue a walk. He played with fire through the first four innings, allowing nine hits, but only a pair of runs. The Rangers added on solo homers by Mike Napoli in the fifth and Pete Kozma in the sixth to complete the damage. Boyd now sits at 2-4 on the season with a disappointing 5.36 ERA and 1.68 WHIP. He'll hope for better results when he takes on the White Sox in Chicago on Friday. Sun, May 21, 2017 11:47:00 PM
