Michael Lorenzen gave up a game-tying three-run homer to Anthony Rizzo in the ninth inning to blow a save Friday against the Cubs.
Lorenzen was asked to convert a six-out save after pitching a scoreless eighth inning. He almost got there, but Rizzo went deep with two outs in the ninth to tie things up. The Cubs eventually won the game in the 11th, so it was a heartbreaker for the Reds. Raisel Iglesias was unavailable Friday after throwing 33 pitches in Thursday’s loss to the Orioles, but he should be ready for a possible save chance on Saturday. Fri, Apr 21, 2017 11:46:00 PM
