Tyler Saladino went 2-for-3 and scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth against the Padres on Saturday.
He walked to lead off the ninth inning, was bunted over to second and scored on a single to center by Yolmer Sanchez. Saladino has been one of the worst starting players in the majors this year. He has a .215/.324/.280 triple slash with zero homers, three RBI and two steals in 110 plate appearances. Last year's .282/.315/.409 line with eight homers and 11 steals in 93 games gives hope that better things may be in store as the season rolls on for Saladino and his fantasy owners.
