Jim Johnson allowed two runs to pick up his third blown save of the season on Tuesday against the Pirates.
Johnson was tasked with protecting a one-run lead but coughed it up by giving up three singles and a walk in the top of the ninth inning, which was punctuated by a Jordy Mercer two-RBI single. He was then pulled, and the Braves bailed him out by coming back in the bottom of the frame. Johnson holds an unsightly 3.66 ERA on the season, but it's come along with a nice 20/4 K/BB ratio over 19 2/3 innings. Wed, May 24, 2017 02:03:00 AM
