The second round of the 113th U.S. Open was suspended due to darkness at 8:27 p.m. ET.
Unlike Thursday's disjointed agenda, there were no delays today, but 68 golfers could not conclude their second round. This includes Tim Clark, who is the only golfer with one hole to complete. He's 8-over-par on his round and the tournament. At the moment, that would allow him to survive the cut on the number. The second round is scheduled to restart at 7:15 a.m.

Tim Clark posted an even-par 70 in his opening round of the U.S. Open.
After penciling in a par at the par-4 11th hole to start today's loop of Merion Golf Club, Clark went birdie-birdie to sit 2-under after three holes. Nine consecutive pars ensued before he doubled the par-4 fifth and bogeyed the par-4 sixth. He returned to level with a birdie-3 at 8 and finished three swings adrift of the clubhouse lead.

With his share of seventh place at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, Tim Clark rose seven spots to 46th in the Official World Golf Ranking and earned an exemption into The Open Championship.
It was the qualifier within the tournament in Fort Worth. The top 50 in the latest OWGR gained entry into the major if not already eligible. Clark was the only golfer to slide inside the bubble, but six others also qualified. They are: Jason Day (25th), Bill Haas (31st), Henrik Stenson (34th), Kevin Streelman (36th), D.A. Points (47th) and Michael Thompson (49th). Fredrik Jacobson closed out Colonial with a 75 to finish T35. As a result, he slipped to 51st in the OWGR and remains ineligible for The Open. He's 0.0015 points back of Ryan Moore, who was already exempt into the field at Muirfield.

Tim Clark's 1-under-par 34-35=69 in the final round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial is good enough for his third top 10 of the season at 10-under 270.
Clark's 15 pars personified a steady, but unspectacular day that also featured two birdies and a bogey. His ball-striking was sub-standard this week, but at the time of his posting he led the field in strokes gained-putting. With two runner-ups already on his resume at Colonial CC, it's not a surprise that he found his name near the top of the leaderboard.
