Chiefs selected Oregon RB De'Anthony Thomas with the No. 124 overall pick in the 2014 draft.
Thomas (5-foot-8 5/8, 174) was an all-purpose college dynamo, scoring 46 career touchdowns with 26 on the ground, 15 as a receiver, one on a punt return, and four on kickoffs. He caught 113 balls across three seasons and averaged 8.95 yards per offensive touch. Unfortunately, Thomas is not only size deficient but speed deficient for his size (4.50), inevitably prone to injury, and lacks any hint of physicality. The classic "track guy" trying to play football, Thomas is a virtual lock to go down as a nice college player who couldn't cut it in the NFL. It's the norm for ex-Oregon offensive skill-position players. Sat, May 10, 2014 02:25:00 PM
