Hull City manager Marco Silva looked to be on the verge of taking charge of Porto in his homeland yesterday. However, it now seems he may stay in England after all.
The Independent are reporting that Silva spent most of Wednesday organising to leave the Hull City job after talks in Portugal broke down over salary and budget. He will begin working out his next step in football on Thursday. Silva, 39, is understood to have impressed Crystal Palace's board by bringing Hull onto the cusp of Premier League survival. He is their primary target to replace Sam Allardyce after he unexpectedly departed. The paper adds that Watford are still keen on attracting the Portuguese's services, while Southampton are understood to have moved him down their shortlist. Burnley's Sean Dyche is also in the running for the job at Selhurst Park but there are a number of large obstacles on both sides which make the chances remote. Wed, May 24, 2017 01:20:00 PM
