Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater is not expected to play again this season after suffering a hamstring injury during the victory over Watford last weekend.
Drinkwater was replaced by Andy King in the second half of the 3-0 victory at the King Power Stadium after pulling up with a thigh strain that will force him to miss Leicester City's final three matches. Speaking on Drinkwater's availability on Thursday, manager Craig Shakespeare said: "Danny Drinkwater, who came off injured on Saturday has a thigh strain. I don’t expect him to play again this season." Drinkwater, who has played 42 times in all competitions this term, joins long-term absentee Nampalys Mendy (ankle) on the Foxes' injury list. The news means Andy King will likely start in Saturday's match with Manchester City, and hold a place in the starting XI for the rest of the season. Thu, May 11, 2017 04:42:00 PM
