New Chiefs RT Eric Winston revealed in a written interview with SI.com's Peter King that Kansas City will run a zone-blocking scheme in 2012.

Tackles Winston and Branden Albert are plenty athletic for the system, and LG Ryan Lilja has zone-blocking experience from his Indianapolis tenure. "Going in I wasn't expecting to hear that the Chiefs would run a zone-blocking scheme, but that's exactly what I heard," Winston said of his K.C. visit. "That was like icing on the cake." The Chiefs have a good enough line to spring Jamaal Charles for long gains as a one-cut runner. We're not sure newly acquired Peyton Hillis, a power back, fits quite as well.

Steelers declared K Chris Boswell, TE Xavier Grimble, WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, QB Zach Mettenberger, OT Brian Mihalik, RB Daryl Richardson and RB DeAngelo Williams inactive for Week 13 against the Giants.

Boswell is out with an abdomen injury. He tried to give it a go in pregame warmups but didn't feel right. Randy Bullock, who was signed earlier this week, will handle the kicking duties for Pittsburgh. Boswell was the only Steelers player listed as questionable this week.

Falcons LT Jake Matthews was forced from Atlanta's Week 13 game against the Chiefs with a knee injury, and will not return.

Matthews was announced as "questionable" in the first half, but ruled out after the break. Tom Compton is filling in, and getting dominated. The Falcons cannot afford a long-term absence.
Dec 4 - 3:06 PM

John Brown (illness) is active for Week 13 against the Redskins.

Brown was able to practice on a limited basis Thursday and Friday, but it is unlikely he is fully healthy as he tries to work through his sickle cell issues. Larry Fitzgerald is the only trustworthy member of the receiver corps for fantasy.
Dec 4 - 3:00 PM

Tyrell Williams is active for Week 13 against the Bucs.

Williams returned to practice on Friday, promised he would play, and will. The Chargers' Week 13 inactives are CB Brandon Flowers, RB Ronnie Hillman, TE Asante Cleveland, ILB Jatavis Brown, C Max Tuerk, T Tyrell Burwell, and WR Geremy Davis.
Dec 4 - 2:57 PM

Michael Crabtree (ankle) is active for Week 13 against the Bills.

Latavius Murray (ankle) is also active after both players were listed questionable. It's the same routine as last week. With Bills LCB Ronald Darby (concussion) out, Crabtree gets a boost against rookie CB Kevon Seymour.
Dec 4 - 2:42 PM

Sammy Watkins (foot) is active for Week 13 against the Raiders.

Marquise Goodwin (wrist) is also active after both players were listed questionable. They figure to be the Bills' top two receivers in this one with Percy Harvin (illness) and Robert Woods (knee) out. Watkins is a WR2.
Dec 4 - 2:36 PM

Charles Clay will not play Week 13 against the Raiders due to the expected birth of his child.

Clay did not travel with the team to Oakland on Saturday, and it does not look like he will make the trip on his own. Clay has not contributed much this year, but the Bills are dangerously short of pass catchers. Sammy Watkins may be forced into more snaps than Buffalo would otherwise like to see.
Dec 4 - 2:13 PM

Lamar Miller (ribs) returned to the game late in the first quarter.

Miller went to the locker room to get his ribs examined and perhaps a little more padding after the first series. He has been used as the clear lead back since returning.

CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson reports Texans QB Tom Savage is in the hospital with an infection on his throwing elbow.

Savage is obviously inactive, leaving Brandon Weeden to back up Brock Osweiler in Green Bay. It was reported Savage had an infection earlier Sunday morning, but the location and severity were not known. This report raises questions about Savage's availability moving forward. There were rumblings Savage could take over for Osweiler if the starter continued to struggle. Osweiler is unlikely to be benched if Weeden is the only other option.

The Boston Herald reports Julian Edelman's oft-troublesome foot has "progressed to the point where (the Patriots) would like it to be."

Howe added, "Don't be surprised if he starts to take off down the stretch," meaning have a big finish. The Patriots certainly need a big finish from Edelman after losing Rob Gronkowski for the season. Edelman's foot has been managed, never turning in full practices and sometimes taking practices off entirely. He has played in every game this season and has showed improved chemistry with Tom Brady in recent weeks. Edelman is now an every-week fantasy WR1.

The Eagles plan to feature Wendell Smallwood Sunday at Cincinnati.

They also planned to feature Smallwood in last week's loss to Green Bay, but fell behind and resorted to a lot of Darren Sproles. Smallwood isn't fully trusted in pass protection, so he won't be featured in the passing game, but is expected to be Philly's primary ball carrier. He's just a flex option.
