Daily Fantasy Sports [DFS]

I will be giving out selections for one team each week.

These lineups will be entered into a large-entry Guaranteed Prize Pool. That means we need to take a risk or two, in order to separate ourselves from the field.

I would also advise you to change a roster spot or two if you are trying to enter this lineup yourself. Duplicate entries are no fun.

FanDuel Picks:

FanDuel is taking the week off as they revamp their product. Keep a close eye on the situation, because we could see a format change when they return.

DraftKings Picks:

Kevin Kisner ($9,700): Experience typically matters a lot at Colonial CC, and Kisner has that with back-to-back top 10s here.

Brian Harman ($8,500):
Won just a few weeks ago and has a T10 on his Colonial resume (2015).

Sung Kang ($7,400): Lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area so this is a second straight home game. Playing the best golf of his career right now.

Danny Lee ($7,100):
Like Kang, he is a local, but Lee has some nice course results to add fuel to his fire. In four starts, he's racked up four top 50s including a T10 in 2015.

Ryan Palmer ($7,900):
Sticking with the theme, Palmer also has local ties, since he's a MEMBER at the course. He is the only golfer that starts on the PM side of the draw, but I'm willing to take the bait since he's played this venue in every possible weather scenario.

Bud Cauley ($9,500):  Should be popular due to his stellar form but DraftKings has done a good job of pricing him up. Hasn't played here since 2014 but finished T21 and T12 in his last two visits.

Each week I think aloud to provide you with my One-and-Done selection as well as a few alternatives. Fade or Follow? You decide!

I was a week early on Jason Day as he nearly took home the hardware last week. Instead, I saw Brooks Koepka fade to a disappointing 50th place finish. Time to rebound.

This week let's have a look at some courses horses:

Jordan Spieth (4-for-4 with four top 15s including WIN)
Zach Johnson (11-for-11 with TWO WINS)
Chris Kirk (7-for-7 with WIN and T5)
Harris English (T5-MC-T30-2)
Chris Stroud (4-for-6 with four top 15s)
Matt Kuchar (8-for-9 with three top 10s)
Kevin Kisner (MC-T5-T10)
David Lingmerth (T18-T5-T33)
Ben Martin (T21-T10-T29)
Ryan Palmer (10-for-13 with top 15s in four of his last five)

From there, let's hit the magnifying glass backwards to look at long-term performance on the PGA TOUR and Euro Tour since 2014

Jordan Spieth
Sergio Garcia
Jon Rahm
Matt Kuchar
Paul Casey
Phil Mickelson
Bill Haas
Zach Johnson
Ryan Palmer
Marc Leishman

A few golfers check the box in both long-term skill AND course history: Jordan Spieth, Matt Kuchar, Zach, Johnson, and Ryan Palmer.

There is a good chance all four of these golfers have a good weekk, but which of them do I still have available to use?

Kuchar is actually the only golfer I've used of the four, which leaves me with too many choices for comfort.

Spieth ranks first in course history and long-term form, but do I trust his form (MCs in 3-of-4)?

Zach Johnson is finally starting to gain strokes on approach in his last two starts which tells me he may be ready to pop, but that is still a bit risky.

Ryan Palmer is rounding into form lately, but is really struggling with the flat stick. A little home cooking on his home course could be the perfect cure.

They say class is permanent and most of my OAD competitors likely used Spieth at the Masters or have now decided to wait for a return to form. Looking to buy this stock when it's low, I will go with Spieth this week.

Jordan Spieth is searching for form ahead of his title defense at Colonial Country Club, but will he still be a key pick for our staffers this week?
